I recently rooted my Asus Zenfone 5. I uninstalled pre-installed crap-apps. Much to my horror, I accidentally deleted an app called "Telephony Service" and my SIM Toolkit. After this, my SIM 1 (I only use 1 SIM card) became unavailable, and my number and carrier became unknown. I tried to re-enable my SIM 1, and these dialogue boxes appeared:
Step 1: Transfer the downloaded SuperSU.zip file to the internal storage / SD card of your Asus Zenfone Max Plus (M1) ZB570TL (X018D) smartphone. Step 2: Now, just boot into the recovery.
